For the second week in a row, the Rebel Alliance has turn things around. For two straight weeks, they have led the AFC in scoring. They seem to be catching fire and it might be at the right time to turn around their season. After the Brewmasters joined a four way tie with three other teams (in case your math skills are like Schuster's), they separated themselves from the pack to go 4-1 on the season. The Vultures lost what seemed like to be an easy victory to the Redlegs. Steel Reign lost to the Jimmy V foundation and the War Pony has put themselves in contention as well. This is still a wide open playoff race as well as it should be due to the fact that there is still over have the season left to play. Also, I need to put a BOLO out there, can someone look for the Cocks first win? It seems to be fleeting him at every chance, however, who will it come against? That will be soon answered. Sawtooths vs. War PonyThe Sawtooths took to the message boards this week saying, "The hardest part of my schedule is over!! Maybe I can get some wins." However, they might be meeting a team that no one wants to face right now. The War Ponies come in as a 6 point favorite. However it will be interesting if the Sawtooths will chose to go with Andy Dalton who is facing a tough Buffalo Bills Defense or go with Andrew Luck who is coming off of an injury. The War Pony has won their last three games. Also, this is an interesting uniform match up and my pick for the best uniform match up of the week. Hooligans vs. Mutinous ApesThe Hooligans are coming off of a loss and the Mutinous Apes are coming off of a win, two different teams that seem to be heading in different directions. Until this week that is, the Hooligans have the ability to walk out of the Jungle with a win. They go on the road as an 8 point favorite and are looking to take advantage of what seems like a winnable game. This one will be interesting as the Mutinous Apes have had unsung heroes week in and week out. Doughboys vs. BrewmastersUPSET ALERT!!!!! This could be the upset of the week, the Doughboys open up as a 14 point favorite, however the Brewmasters have been able to fill holes in their lineups by seeking the advice of the Fantasy Football gods. This game is interesting just from a lineup point of view, who starts at QB for the Brewmasters with the turmoil that has taken place in the Dolphins organization. I think the Brewmasters get their second lost of the year here. Cocks vs. VulturesDeath is coming, sorry Cocks, but you open up as a 48 point underdog. However, stranger things have happened this year (refer to Roe leading the league in points two straight weeks). The Vultures must win this game and take advantage of the mismatch so that they can stay in the running for a bye week during the playoffs. This game is the lock of the week. Rebel Alliance vs. Negligent DischargesWho cares about this game? Two ugly women, will be having a pillow fight that not even Quagmire would want to watch. The Discharges open up as an underdog but still have some slots to fill on their roster, I predict that they close the gap from a 35 point underdog to a 10 point underdog by the Thursday night game. Once in striking distance, this could be anyone's game to win, even if two of the biggest losers on earth are facing each other. Redlegs vs. Steel ReignThe Redlegs come off of a surprise win against the Vultures and the Steel Reign came off of a disappointing loss to the War Pony. The Redlegs open up as an eleven point favorite but both teams still have not completely set their lineups. This game will most likely be to close to bet on, but should come down to the wire. The Steel Reign are ranked higher in the standings. Matthew Stafford should have a great game against a terrible Chicago Bears Defense this week. Hillier vs. Warm BodiesIt appears to anyone that has paid attention the Hillier's are favored heavily this week against the Warm Bodies. It is expected that the Hillier's coast to an easy victory and possibly rub it in during the process. The Warm Bodies are sitting well in the Standings but this seems to be a mismatch, the Warm Bodies are coming off of a loss last week. This is my lock of the week, the Hillier get it done on the road and improve to .500 on the year.
I hope everyone is having a great week and is staying safe. Someone check on Nick because the Cubs beat the tasteless Cardinals tonight. Have a great weekend.
