The Luck Stops Here: Pyle Suffers First Loss

ANADARKO — Enuf! One week after tying the OIL record for most consecutive wins to begin a season, Pyle's Lucky Enuf was upset by cellar-dwellar Henderson. The DARC NARCS benefitted from an injury to Lucky Enuf RB Tevin Coleman, a bye week for WR Jarvis Landry, and RB Mark Ingram posting a negative stat line in the matchup. Now 7-1, Pyle remains number one in the NFC standings. Cliburn's 12-1 regular season record is still within grasp for Lucky Enuf, who face the Whackers in week nine.

PFC: Tadlock's Week Eight Preview

There was more shuffling atop the rankings of the PFC after week 7 action. Team Tadlock moved back in to first place while the Great Plains Drifters dropped to third. The SECFOR Sixers moved to second after their victory. Injuries and byes could have an impact on some of the outcomes this week.

Game of the Week:
#5 The Xtreme vs. #2 SECFOR Sixers

The Xtreme will have to have a pretty deep bench to pull off a victory this week with four starters having a bye week. The Sixers will be playing with a full team. I look for the Sixers to get the victory here.

AFC: Roe's Week Eight Preview

So here we are just a little over half way and its put up or shut up time. The AFC had one team make a tremendous leap from 7th to 3rd. Way to go, Doughboys. We still have that shiny turd sitting at the top though. Zerger is like that disease you picked up from the girl you took home from the bar: the doc gave you meds to clear it up but damn it still burns. The middle of this conference is a pile-up during rush hour traffic with nine teams sitting at 4-3 and no hope from the waiver wire, which some need because of the injury epidemic this season. For those at the bottom, well, just keep going. Even the little engine made it up that hill.

Note: Not all the lineups were set at the time this was wrote so here goes nothing.

Game of the Week:
#4 Vultures vs. #2 Steel Reign

Well, believe it or not, Brosh made it here without his brother's help during the draft. Both teams have some spots to fill but the Vultures come out soaring in this one.

NFC: Cliburn's Week Eight Preview

Part of being a good leader is admitting when you're wrong, and I've been wrong the last few weeks. Here I've been calling for someone, anyone, to finally beat Pyle and wipe that undefeated smirk off his face . . . when the real villain here is clearly Cobb. Yes, Pyle just won to get to 7-0, but Cobb is the cocky one in this equation. Have you seen his gloating in the GroupMe chat?

And the latest? He's bragging about beating Schmidt. We all know Schmidt has never been a threat to win the league, but this week he only put up 116 points. Cobb put up a paltry 125 points on the board and acts like he just stomped the '85 Bears. Thankfully, for the rest of us, Cobb faces a real test this week.

Game of the Week:
#4 DominationStation vs. #2 Dogs of War

Jessen, I am addressing this directly to you: you are our only hope. It took the league two years to recover from the pain of Cobb's 2013 championship. He wouldn't shut up about it, even though we all knew his 7-6 regular season record was only saved by Peyton Manning. Now, he's 5-2 with one of the easiest schedules in the league. His ego is getting big. It needs to be reined in. That's where you come in, Jessen. Fresh off of player swap sexual assaulting Rogers, your team is primed to make a run for the title. Your run starts now. Beat Cobb. Do it for you. Do it for the OIL. Do it for America.

Two-time OIL champion RB Arian Foster announced his retirement today, halfway into his seventh season. Foster won championships with the Arrogant Americans and the Dogs of War. He's been added to the player almanac and is now eligible for the Hall of Fame. View his career stats here.

AFC: Cliburn's Week Seven Preview

I don't think I've ever seen a league as wide open after six weeks as the AFC is right now. The top six teams are all 4-2. There is a substantial difference in points between Zerger (number one) and Neely (number six), but anything can happen. The bottom four teams appear to be out of it, but there is still plenty of time to make a run.

Game of the Week:
#8 War Pony vs. #5 Rebel Alliance

This is a re-match of last year's Thunder Bowl. To refresh your memory, Venable's War Pony defeated Roe's Rebel Alliance for Venable's second-straight AFC championship. I was prepared to pick Roe to get revenge in this one, but bye-week-replacement QB Brian Hoyer just exited the Thursday night game. Without a QB, Roe falls to Venable again.

PFC: Tadlock's Week Seven Preview

There was another change atop the leader board after last week's games. Team Tadlock was only able to hold on to the top spot for a week after his the team was hit with multiple injuries and lost a close one to the SECFOR Sixers. After a win the Great Plains Drifters move back to the top spot while Tadlock slips to second and the Sixers remain in third. The Boomtown Brawlers continue to climb up the rankings and currently sit in fourth.

Game of the Week:
#3 SECFOR Sixers vs. #1 Great Plains Drifters

This should prove to be a great game. Both teams are strong across the board. The Sixers may be hurt a bit with a bye at the TE spot this week. The Drifters look stronger than ever with a full lineup and the reemergence of Tom Brady. I think the Brady to Bennett combo will be a bit too much for the Sixers, so I’ll pick the drifters to win and remain in the number one spot another week.

NFC: Cliburn's Week Seven Preview

Another week, another lost opportunity to knock Pyle off his perch. This time it was Finch trying and failing to knock off Lucky Enuf, who is now at 6-0 and two games ahead of the second-place team. This week it's the Hippies' turn to humble Pyle. Godspeed, Trovillo.

Game of the Week:
#6 Dirty Hippies vs. #1 Lucky Enuf

This is not only my game of the week; it's my uniform matchup of the week as well. As for the actual game, if Ben Roethlisberger were playing this week, I would give the Hippies a chance here. But Big Ben is out and Terrelle Pryor is dealing with a bad hammy. Look for Lucky Enuf's good fortune to extend another week. Pyle gets to 7-0, and the rest of us look forward to the next opportunity for Pyle to fall.
