Last week brought forth a few close games, some that were closer than they should have been. The Rebel Alliance won by four points on Monday Night Football; the hero that saved their team from losing to the Sawtooths was David Johnson who the Rebel Alliance acquired in an earlier trade this year. The Rebels have now won four straight after starting out 0-3. The second closest game was the Cocks who came up eleven points shy of beating the Redlegs. The playoff race is basically going to come down to a point differential, there are a lot of teams that are hanging out near the cut off line of the playoffs. The playoffs are five weeks away. It should prove to be interesting going down the stretch. Here are the week seven results. Week eight analysis after the jump. Redlegs vs. SawtoothsThe Redlegs go on the road to take on the Sawtooths. This match up is going to be tight once the Sawtooths plug in a player for the hurt Joseph Randle. I think the part of this matchup that is going to be huge for the Sawtooths is can Julio Jones get lose against a Tampa Bay defense? Also can Stefon Diggs continue his great play for the Vikings? If either player has another incredible performance then it will most likely give his team the edge. I like the Sawtooths at home on this one. Hooligans vs. Steel Reign I do not understand how this is not a rivalry, Commander/mentor vs his LT. Battalion XO vs BTRY Commander. And the list could go on and on. The Hooligans take on Steel Reign, there is not to much on the line here for the Hooligans who are in tenth place. However, their total mind control over the Steel Reign should be an interesting story line. According the experts, the Steel Reign are predicted to win this game, however, the Hooligans have a way of showing up and beating teams that they are not supposed to compete with. My head says Steel Reign wins, but my heart says good Ol' Charlie pulls out a victory here. Mutinous Apes vs. Doughboys Owner Walt Musselman said this week, "This freaking sucks, I am scoring points just not winning." Going into week week alone, Musselman has scored the eighth-most amount of points in the league, however his schedule has been tough and hopefully soon he will start to face more teams that are not as good offensively. However, that does not happen this week. The Mutinous Apes take on the Doughboys, and the Doughboys have been playing really well here lately. They have the third highest point total in the league and will be looking to build on that this week. I think the Apes do score a lot and in a hurry but I do not think they get the win this week.
