In December 2013, those who served on the 2005-2006 SECFOR mission were rocked by the death of a man they all served with. At the funeral, it was clear something needed to be done to stay in touch with more brothers-in-arms. So the OIL expanded to a second league and instituted conferences. The new conference began play in 2014 and was dubbed the OIL's AFC.
All 14 members of the AFC were on the SECFOR mission. They live all across the country now, from Oklahoma to Ohio to North Dakota to Washington State to Hawaii. They're career military men, factory workers, safety officers, carpenters, airline mechanics, firefighters, entrepreneurs, and more.
