Josh Hastings joined the OIL in 2007 and admitted he was not prepared for fantasy football. It was his first season, and he felt lost. He took 2008 off to better prepare and came back in 2009.
He spent the summer of 2009 studying ADPs and mock drafts and felt confident going into his second OIL season. His work paid off and, he went 7-7 in the regular season before getting hot and winning the OIL Bowl.
In 2010, he went 10-3 and made a return to the OIL Bowl. But he lost to Cliburn's Arrogant Americans in a rematch of the 2009 championship. Before the 2011 season, he resigned from the OIL to commish the MGL full-time. He is the only OIL champion not currently in the league. Since disbanding the MGL, he has moved into daily fantasy play.
