We spent 2006 in Iraq as part of the SECFOR mission. The Sixers name is a classic tribute to that year. The chevrons in the logo harken to our military heritage and create the "MM" of the Roman numeral for "2006": MMVI. The focus of the logo is the second half of the Roman numeral: VI. The colors are inspired by the U.S. Army dress blue uniform. No other OIL franchise uses that color scheme. Cordes was in Bravo Battery and went to Iraq in 2005 as a member of First Platoon. He spent that year at Camp Echo in Diwaniyah with current OIL members Jessen and Lynn. He now owns a home inspection business and lives in Lawton with his wife.
