Schuster spent the 2006 and 2008 seasons in Iraq with the 158. His military career was cut short when he took a bullet to the neck in Ramadi. The Tulsa World wrongly reported his death, and the members of the OIL are grateful he's still with us and competing in the OIL. He spent the 2005-2006 mission as the undisputed funniest guy in First Platoon. But on the field he's all business. His Negligent Discharges began their first OIL season at 6-2 and primed for a first-round bye in the playoffs, but they then lost five straight, finished 7-6 and missed the playoffs.
He's a lifelong OSU fan and lives in Edmond.
