Vote for the OIL Championship Name
As you know, we expanded this season. Initially the new league was simply called the OIL2. But that sounded like a minor league, and that wasn't the case. So we instead incorporated the original OIL and the OIL2 into conferences. Now, we're going to have our own "Super Bowl" pitting the champion of the AFC against the champion of the NFC. That will be in week 17. So what will we call it? Below are some options with explanation. Below that is a poll. Please vote. Voting will end after the week 16 conference championship games (or after we reach 28 total votes). Once we reach 28 votes (or the week 16 deadline), the top two vote-getters will enter into a runoff election (unless the top vote-getter gains a majority of the 28 votes).
This means we'll be ordering another trophy. Start considering which of the trophies at Sculpture Alley you'd like, and I'll be brainstorming name ideas for it. We'll choose the trophy soon and ask for everyone to pay their share. Without further adieu, here are your choices for the OIL inter-conference championship game:

- OKIRAQI Bowl. This uses the name of the website that covers both conferences.
- Artillery Bowl. Evokes our connection to Fort Sill.
- Pride Bowl. Evokes the pride of being the champion of a 28-team league.
- SECFOR Bowl. Self-explanatory.
- Liberty Bowl. Named after the base our SECFOR mission was headquartered.
- Victory Bowl. Named after the Victory Base Complex where we were headquartered.
- Gruber Bowl. Named after the National Guard base we were at so often. Fun fact: Camp Gruber was named after the guy who wrote the Army Song.
