If I've learned anything from our design contest, it's that the average Internet user can do a better job than whoever approved the new Buccaneers uniforms. 

Since we first asked for logo and uniform submissions for a hypothetical NFL team in Oklahoma City, we've received tons of great feedback. Now, it's time to crown your favorite.

The poll answers are randomized, and you can see the results as a percentage after you vote. You can refresh your memory by looking at the roundup of designs after the jump. We truly appreciate all who participated in this endeavor. It was a lot of fun. 

Oklahoma City 89ers

Tom Bierbaum was the first to submit an entry. His 89ers have been on his mind for decades and was inspired by the old Oklahoma City 89ers AAA baseball team (that is now named the Redhawks). He is the only designer to use purple and gold for the primary colors. What do you think?

Oklahoma City Crazy Eights

David Firestone's Crazy Eights submission was next. He named his team after the elegant look of the 8 and Oklahoma City's place as the eight-largest city in the U.S. by area, which was not a popular idea in the comments.

Oklahoma City Roughnecks

Blake Campbell was the first to submit one with the name Roughnecks. He used oil black and a clay color that embodies the hard work of Oklahoma roughnecks in the oil fields across the state. He gets bonus points for using the number 46, since Oklahoma was the 46th state in the union and the original state flag featured the number.

Oklahoma City Spirits

George Burnett submitted his design for an Oklahoma City Spirits franchise he designed earlier. He is part Native American and his lineage comes from Oklahoma. His helmet design is simple and elegant, and his overall design used teal very well.

Oklahoma City Roughnecks 2.0

Keith Good was the second designer to go with Roughnecks. He used an old photo of a factory worker wrenching on an oversized nut for inspiration. He chose green and brown because he envisioned that's what a roughneck would look like after a game of football in the dirt and grass. 

Oklahoma City Roughnecks 3.0

Skott Schnoover's Roughnecks design created an oil well out of the letters R and n. He designed it entirely using Microsoft Paint. Other than the excessive lean of the oil well, his design looks pretty good. 

Oklahoma City Rattlers

Andrew Seagraves was the only designer to name his team the Oklahoma City Rattlers. His design actually looks very good, but the helmet logo leaves much to be desired. He agreed to submit a Roughnecks design using the same color scheme as well.

Andrew Seagraves previously submitted a design for the hypothetical Oklahoma City NFL team design contest. His original design centered on Rattlers as a name. We liked the overall look of the design but wanted to see what he could do with Roughnecks.

Oklahoma City Infantry

Shane Maddox's and Anthony Wustenfeld's Infantry submission pays homage to the Oklahoma Army National Guard's famed 45th Infantry Division. The two of them teamed up for the design and did a fantastic job. 

Oklahoma City Roughnecks 4.0

Lennie Nelson's Roughnecks design includes my favorite logo to date. I do not love the color scheme, but it is unique and looks good overall. Mr. Nelson did not provide a Web site or social media account, which is a shame because he's clearly talented.
