PFC: Tadlock's Week Seven Preview
By Team Tadlock Manager Derrick Tadlock
There was another change atop the leader board after last week's games. Team Tadlock was only able to hold on to the top spot for a week after his the team was hit with multiple injuries and lost a close one to the SECFOR Sixers. After a win the Great Plains Drifters move back to the top spot while Tadlock slips to second and the Sixers remain in third. The Boomtown Brawlers continue to climb up the rankings and currently sit in fourth.
Game of the Week:
#3 SECFOR Sixers vs. #1 Great Plains Drifters
This should prove to be a great game. Both teams are strong across the board. The Sixers may be hurt a bit with a bye at the TE spot this week. The Drifters look stronger than ever with a full lineup and the reemergence of Tom Brady. I think the Brady to Bennett combo will be a bit too much for the Sixers, so I’ll pick the drifters to win and remain in the number one spot another week.
#4 Boomtown Brawlers vs. #2 Team Tadlock
On paper, if healthy, Team Tadlock looks to be able to get the victory in this game. But that’s on paper. Tadlock still has two starters that haven’t been cleared to play yet. With Dak Prescott having a bye the Brawlers have inserted Colin Kaepernick into the lineup. Kaepernick plays against a pretty solid defense this week, but it’s in SF so I look for him to have a decent game. This game may be a close one, but with Team Tadlocks injuries, I’m going to pick the Brawlers for the win.
#13 Mechanics vs. #7 Dirty Dogs
The Dirty Dogs come in to this matchup looking very solid across the board. Every starter, with the exception of K and Def, is projected to score in double digits. The Mechanics are still weak in a a couple of underperforming positions. I will pick the Dirty Dogs to cruise to an easy victory this week.
#12 Orangebloods vs. #6 Blue Falcons
Both of these teams will be hurt a bit by players on their bye week. The Orange Bloods will be hit at QB with Roethlisberger out, but will have Flacco to step in. The Falcon will be without Elliot at RB. Even with Ezekiel Elliot out the Blue Falcons should be able to pick up a victory in this matchup.
#14 Enforcers vs. #5 The Xtreme
For the most part the Enforcers roster has underachieved this season. The bright spots for them are Maclin and Charles. The Xtreme will have to replace a couple of starters but still look to be pretty solid this week. Even though The Xtreme will have a couple of replacements in the lineup I feel like they will still be too strong for the Enforcers. Xtreme with the win.
#11 Nightmares vs. #10 Red Ball Express
This game appears to be very even. Both the express and the Nightmares will be playing with all starters this week. If I can find an edge in this game it would be at the TE position. The Nightmares will be fielding Gronkowski at that spot. Although Gronks game is in Pitt this week I look for him to have another big game. With that I give the edge to the Nightmares in this matchup between two 2-4 teams.
#9 FDC Chiefs vs. #8 Vandals
This is a matchup between two 3-3 teams. The FDC Chiefs look to bounce back after a lopsided loss last week. They are very consistent throughout the RB and WR positions. The Vandals look to be lacking at a couple of positions. Namely at the TE spot this week. I’m gonna have to go with the Chiefs in this one.
