PFC: Cliburn's Week 11 Preview
Tick, tick, tick . . . the playoff clock is ticking close to zero. No one has yet clinched a playoff spot, but it certainly looks like we have an idea of who will make it to the "second season." The Enforcers, Xtreme, and Drifters look like playoff locks. Meanwhile, the Vandals have been winning on pure luck all season . . . until now. Their squad dropped 186 points on McKay last week. The Vandals just may be a playoff contender after all. Week 11 analysis after the jump.
Playoff Odds
#12 Team Tadlock vs. #5 Boomtown Brawlers
#1 Enforcers vs. #8 Nightmares
This matchup pits the number one team in the league against the team that spent the first four weeks ranked number one in the league. But, after starting out 4-0, the Nightmares lost five straight before eking out a win last week. Make it six out of seven; Straily's Enforcers win this one.
#10 Dirty Dogs vs. #7 FDC Chiefs
Pennington has done an admirable job since taking over for Hudson, but the team he took over was simply lacking in talent. Fortunately, he plays an underperforming Dirty Dogs team. I like the FDC Chiefs here.
#9 Orangebloods vs. #6 Blue Falcons
The Orangebloods have had horrible luck all season. They're number nine, but they've scored a lot more points than the record indicates. If the playoffs started today, the Falcons would be the six-seed. But McKay's Orangebloods are too much for Baldwin this week.
#11 SECFOR Sixers vs. #3 Greasy Vandals
They say it's sometimes better to be lucky than good. The Vandals have been pretty damn lucky this season, but they're starting to peak at the right time. Hell, they might even be more good than lucky at this point. And they face a Sixers team with Matt Forte and Andrew Luck both injured. Chalk up an incredible eighth win for the Vandals as manager Brian Gauthier gets one step closer to the playoffs in his first season of fantasy football.
#13 Preppers vs. #2 The Xtreme
Bellar has shot up the rankings recently and is now in prime contention for a first-round playoff bye. Gomez's Preppers haven't made an add/drop yet. The Xtreme wins it.
#4 Great Plains Drifters vs. #14 Mechanics
Gray continues his successful turn as a first-year fantasy player. Pierre hasn't had nearly as much luck, although he has kept his roster updated every week. The Drifters beat the Mechanics to round out this week's matchup.
