OIL Countdown: Fact #33
Justin Finch's Hard Targets logo is the only OIL logo to be modeled after an actual 1-158 FA soldier. Can you guess who it is?
Of course, his team wasn't always so safe for work. That first season, he went by a NSFW 'Team America: World Police' reference. Following that, he went by the less-offensive-but-still-NSFW f***wads. He later dabbled with Fourth Down Syndrome and Stafford Infection before settling on the name of our dumbass platoon nickname back in '05/'06. This was about the same time he became a father and responsible adult, so kids aren't all bad, I guess.
Finch spent the first half of his OIL career at the bottom of the standings. But he's been one of the better managers the last several years, averaging 9.5 wins per regular season from 2013-2016. His best season was 2014, when he made it to the OIL Bowl before losing to the Dirty Hippies.
