There are three seasons in the OIL: weeks 1-12 of the regular season; Rivalry Week; and the playoffs. And the third season is here, as the playoffs are upon us. Last season's champions (the Dirty Hippies) aren't in it. Neither are the 2013 or 2012 champions. Two of the six playoff teams are former champions, but neither has won a title since 2011. And neither is the favorite. That distinction goes to Finch or Leal: two managers who have yet to win a title. And only one former champion is going to make it to the semifinals as Lucky Enuf and SoonerJack face off in the first round. It's a rematch of the 2008 OIL Bowl that ended in controversy. These are exciting times.

First-Round Byes:
#1 Hard Targets and #2 ​Norman Nobodies

For the third consecutive year, the Hard Targets own a first-round bye. Joining them are the Norman Nobodies​. Both squads are guaranteed a spot in the semifinals. Congratulations to Finch and Leal, respectively.

#6 Lucky Enuf vs. #3 SoonerJack

This is always one of my favorite uniform matchups. SoonerJack looks great in their red-top home uniforms and Lucky Enuf's navy and white really pops along with the neon green trim. 

First Meeting: 
​SoonerJack in a Rout (Week 10)

Oh, boy. This is one of the biggest rivalries in the OIL, and this one was forged on the field. Pyle and Bruesch tied in the 2008 OIL Bowl that led to the only season we crowned co-champions. This year, Bruesch has the better record, but Pyle is coming in hotter. I like Lucky Enuf in this one. 

#5 AMMODOGS vs. #4 DARC NARCS

Both squads will be breaking out rarely-used alternates to celebrate their second-straight playoff appearance.

First Meeting:
AMMODOGS with the 200-bomb

The ALL-CAPS BOWL returns for another go-round. It pits the best RB duo in the league (the DARC NARCS' Devonta Freeman and Mark Ingram) against perhaps the best WR trio in the league (the AMMODOGS' Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, and Jeremy Maclin). Rogers has had the best team all season, and I'm not jumping off the AMMODOGS bandwagon just yet.
