NFC: Cliburn's Week Six Preview
By Arrogant Americans Manager Justin C. Cliburn
Pyle's Lucky Enuf franchise is now the only unbeaten team left in the OIL. Meanwhile, Rogers and Baldwin continue their skid at 0-5, making the AMMODOGS and Roughnecks the OIL's only winless teams. Yikes. Even worse, Rogers's opponents are averaging 177 points per game. His schedule is not doing him any favors.
#2 Hard Targets vs. #1 Lucky Enuf
This is the game of the week: #1 vs. #2. This is Pyle's first real test and Finch's second big test in a row. Finch has a great team, but Pyle's is in a league of its own. Lucky Enuf gets to 6-0.
#14 AMMODOGS vs. #3 Arrogant Americans
The AMMODOGS have had a historically-tough schedule so far. Their roster is not an 0-5 roster. My Arrogant Americans are 4-1, but they've won their last two matchups by an average of 3.1 points. I think this is the week our luck runs out and Rogers gets his first win.
#6 Hangovers vs. #4 Dogs of War
Duffy got humbled by Finch last week, but I think he bounces back against Cobb. The Hangovers are simply a better team than the Dogs of War, and I think that will be borne out this week and this season.
#12 DARC NARCS vs. #11 SoonerJack
Henderson faced my 'Mericans last week and lost by roughly five points . . . even with my squad getting zero points out of two separate starters. If he couldn't break the spell last week, he can't this week. Bruesch's SoonerJack gets back on the winning track here.
#9 Dirty Hippies vs. #5 Dead Again
Schmidt has had some pretty good luck this season, sitting at 3-2 after five weeks. Trovillo's Hippies have not had as much luck and sit at 2-3. I do like them to win this one though.
#10 DominationStation vs. #7 Whackers
Despite trading away Brandon Marshall and losing Dez Bryant to injury, the Whackers are 3-2. Jessen's DominationStation is dealing with injuries and bye weeks of their own, so I'm predicting Morgan to win this one.
#13 Roughnecks vs. #8 Norman Nobodies
Poor Yancy. He's 0-5, but he's statistically the best 0-5 team in OIL history. I hate to say it, but I think they fall to 0-6 here.
