'MERICA! My Arrogant Americans were staring at 1-4 going into the week five matchup with the Whackers, who were also 1-3. But did we give up? Of course not. Arian Foster, Doug Martin, Larry Donnell, and Marquess Freaking Wilson made sure we got one step closer to the playoffs. MANIFEST DESTINY, Y'ALL!

Meanwhile, Bruesch stayed on top of the league standings with Leal nipping at his heels. And early season favorite Henderson and the NARCS lost, not only week five, but Jamaal Charles as well. We'll see how he adjusts his roster with JC no longer carrying the team on his back. Week six previews after the jump.

​Arrogant Americans vs. AMMODOGS

This is a critical game for my 'Mericans as we face the points leader at their house. But the AMMODOGS will be without surprise fantasy star QB Tyrod Taylor. The 'Mericans will be without Doug Martin and may have to start Antonio Andrews in a flex spot. I wouldn't put any money on my squad, but I think we're catching Rogers at just the right time. 

​Lucky Enuf vs. Whackers

This burst of color is my favorite uni matchup of the week. I don't love the Whackers uniforms in isolation, but they complement the white, blue, and neon green of Lucky Enuf​ well. Aside from that, this is a matchup of two original OILers (and two former champions as well). But that's where the similarities end with this one. Pyle's team is one of the favorites to win the league while Morgan just fell to 1-4. Better get ready for 1-5, Morgan.

​DominationStation vs. DARC NARCS

Not a lot has gone right for Jessen this season. First, his first-round pick fizzled (C.J. Anderson). Then his star QB (Andrew Luck) was disappointing before missing two games due to injury. But Jessen caught a break here, as Henderson's DARC NARCS just lost Jamaal Charles for the season. Plus Amari Cooper, Mike Evans, and Kenny Britt are on a bye this week. I like DominationStation to take advantage and get Jessen back to .500.

​Hangovers vs. Dogs of War

This is the OIL equivalent of a "slumpbuster" for Duffy's Hangovers. They came out like gangbusters and started the season 1-0 before losing four straight to fall to 1-4. But they play the worst team in the league: The Dogs of War. Cobb's Dogs have been awful. Duffy wins this big and gets some swagger back.

​Dirty Hippies vs. Dead Again

The Hippies have scratched and clawed their way to a 3-2 start, despite not having Le'Veon Bell for the first two weeks. Dead Again is lucky to be 2-3 at this point. All of the following players are injured for Schmidt's team: Ben Roethlisberger; Marques Colston; Steve Smith; Jordan Reed; Eric Ebron; and rookie Breshad Perriman. Yikes. Trovillo climbs to 4-2.

Roughnecks vs. Norman Nobodies

We were thisclose to having this as a battle of two 4-1 teams, but Yancy lost late on Monday night. Instead, it's the 3-2 Roughnecks traveling to Norman to take on the 4-1 Nobodies. Even without Todd Gurley (bye) and Dez Bryant (injury), I like the Roughnecks to pull the upset. Prove me wrong, Nobodies.

​Hard Targets vs. SoonerJack

Last week the Hard Targets knocked off then 3-1 Henderson in an upset. Their reward? Playing the number one team in the league. Damn. Can they do it again? I think so. Bruesch has Latavius Murray on a bye and still has uncertain injury situations with Andre Ellington and DeSean Jackson. If those two don't play, I'm picking Finch to beat SoonerJack.
