2014 was eventful for the OIL. We doubled in size by expanding to two 14-team conferences. We ordered two new trophies, each named after a brother-in-arms we lost in the past year. Let's hope no one else we served with passes away this year.

2015 will be big as well. August 2015 will mark 10 years since we arrived at Fort Lewis to train for the SECFOR mission. December 2015 will be the 10-year anniversary of our arriving in Iraq. It will also be the 10th season of the OIL, so our 10th draft party will have to be a big one. Bravo Battery just returned from another deployment, so everyone should be states-side when it's time to draft our 2015 rosters.

Going on 10 years ago.

Let's make sure as many of us can get together as possible this season. We're spread from Ohio to Tennessee and Arkansas to Wisconsin and North Dakota to Washington State and Hawaii . . . with a great number spread across Oklahoma and Texas as well. It won't be easy, but it'll be worth it. So keep an eye on your email. I'll be planning our draft party and asking for input. Let me know what ideas you have, what locations would be ideal, and which weekend would be ideal.

Again, Happy New Year. Enjoy it.
