The Fifth Volume of the Book of OIL is now available in both hardcover and softcover. Because these are printed on-demand, they are more expensive than the typical book you would find at a store. I assure you the price is not inflated; the OIL will never make money off these books (especially when you tally the 100s of hours I spent compiling it). Volume Five covers the events of 2015, the 10th season of the OklahomIraqis League. It marked a decade of camaraderie and competition, including a SECFOR reunion, league expansion, and a draft party at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium. As such, it deserved a Book of OIL volume all its own.

Volume Five includes everything one would expect in the Book of OIL: discussion of the league's new managers; coverage of the 10-year SECFOR reunion; draft day regret; trade disputes; devastating injuries; playoff heartbreak; and championship glory. But it also includes a full accounting of the OIL Record Book; all-time head-to-head records; all-decade teams for the league and teams; detailed manager pages for each OILer; Rivalry Week pairings for each conference; the unveiling of the OIL Hall of Fame; an OIL style guide; and, for the first time in the Book of OIL, the OIL bylaws. Put simply, this is the most comprehensive volume of our history to date. Over 150 pages of appendices ensure it is as much the OIL Encyclopedia as it is an oral history of the OIL's 10th season.
