AFC: Roe's Week Nine Preview
By Rebel Alliance Manager Don Roe
My first weekly preview turned out to be a bit of a bust, having only three teams win out of seven predictions. You can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs, so I will give it a try again. First let’s give it up to Peacock for winning handily without a defense. Those damn Redlegs are still sitting up there thinking their shit don’t stink. Maybe Schuster can discharge a little on this one. Oh, and before I forget Hillier picked up his second win, told ya about that little engine that could. Enough of this B.S.; let’s get to it.
#9 Negligent Discharges vs. #1 Redlegs
We are all hoping this will be the week the Redlegs stumble. They have been winning with ease riding the back of Ezekiel Elliot who doesn’t seem to be slowing down. The Discharges have a good line up, but I think it will fall short. Redlegs fly that W.
#5 Cocks vs. #2 Doughboys
The Doughboys have done nicely for themselves moving from 7th to 2nd in the standings. The Cocks bold move using no defense to win was crazy but it worked and now are sitting in 5th. This is going to be a close one to close to call.
#13 Mutinous Apes vs. #7 Steel Reign
The Apes owner has been burning up the waiver wire to get some wins but it just hasn’t panned out for them. Steel Reign hit a big bump in week 7 causing them to fall to 7th from 2nd. Still sitting there in 7th Fitzgerald will be looking to give out some punishment for being dethroned. Sorry for ya Apes but it looks like another loss in week 9.
#10 Hooligans vs. #3 Vultures
Maj Neely’s Hooligans were looking to pull out with a W last week but sadly ran out of gas. The Vultures did come out soring as predicted and I see it that way this week. Vultures take the win.
#14 Hillier vs. #12 Brewmasters
Lynn’s Brewmasters did get that mushroom stamp in their loss to the Cocks. Hillier coming off a win saying I will not go quietly into that good night without a fight. Both teams need some help, and will be stepping all over each other to get that much-needed next win. Keep fighting guys, this will be a close one as well.
#11 Sawtooths vs. #4 Rebel Alliance
Our poor commissioner can’t seem to catch a break falling again last week. The Rebels have done well moving up a spot from 5th to 4th. This owner has been working the waiver wire and finding a gem here and there helping the Rebels to stay in the hunt for the playoffs. This one goes to the Rebel scum.
#8 War Pony vs. #6 Warm Bodies
Both teams here have some bye week issues which hopefully they overcome. The two-time AFC champ has been up down the standings while Nye has been steadily moving up. Looking at the line ups and seeing what’s on the bench for these two I would say the Bodies have a better chance to win. The Ponys’ hit the floor in this match up.
