By Redlegs Manager Lance Zerger
After three weeks of play, there is only one team that has remained unbeaten. The Vultures are at the top of the standings all alone, and they have a tough matchup this week. Last week we saw the first-place Cocks go down. Is this going to be a trend this year, in which the first place team holds it for less than a week? We'll see if Brosh can stay atop the standings.
#7 Warm Bodies vs. #2 Redlegs
The Redlegs take on the Warm Bodies who are 2-1 and are in 7th place. This game has the Redlegs going on the road and are a six-point favorite. The Warm Bodies tote the same record as the Redlegs; the only thing that separates them are the amount of points scored. This game is a toss-up.
#14 Mutinous Apes vs. #12 Sawtooths
The Sawtooths take on the 0-3 Mutinous Apes. This game is huge for both teams. A loss to the Apes could send the Sawtooths' playoff hopes down the drain. I actually think the Mutinous Apes have the ability to score an upset and get their first win of the season.
#11 Brewmasters vs. #1 Vultures
The Vultures are coming in with a record of 3-0 and take on the struggling Brewmasters, who are 1-2. I like the Vultures in this one, but it should not be a shocker if the Brewmasters score the upset.
#4 Steel Reign vs. #3 Cocks
The Cocks are the heavy favorite against the Steel Reign. This game is the lock of the week. I like the Cocks to bounce back this week and maintain a good position early in the season. However, Steel Reign has been hot of late beating the Hooliguns and the War Pony after losing their first game of the season.
#9 Rebel Alliance vs. #8 Doughhboys
The Doughboys and Rebel Alliance have not had the start that they hoped for. The Rebel Alliance are the underdogs at home and I agree. The Doughboys will win this game but it will be close.
#13 Hillier vs. #10 War Pony
Hillier finally got a win against a great Rebel Alliance team last week. Can they keep it up and knock of the reigning two time champion War Pony? I think the War Pony are too much to handle and they get back on the winning side of things.
#6 Negligent Discharges vs. #5 Hooligans
Hooligans and Negligent Discharges are a great matchup. They are coming into this match up 2-1. This game will help one of them secure there ranking for another week while one could fall to the lower half of the league. This is the game of the week and it is extremely too close to call.
I hope everyone is having a great week and getting ready for the fall. I hope all the OU Sooner fans are not discouraged that their team has a losing record and could very easily loose again this week. The OSU fans have nothing really to brag about as they face Texas Saturday and could be in the same boat as the Sooners.
